WHat is Community mapping for me?

Based on what I have undergone in our group's community mapping,I can personally define it as an activity where in you will get yourself in the area that you are going to map.You need to write and draw anything that can be seen in that area.Like the data and the features of that area,In order for you to be accurate you do need to get your feet dirty,you do need to walk so that you can see it for your self the actual appearance of that area.Because the maps that are aided with satellites are not that accurate some of the data are not visible.

Now I can say that community mapping helps a lot.Because even if I am born here in CDO,I still haven't know the the names of many places ,and names of the streets in our city.Another benefit of this is that through community mapping we can be able to know the changes in our community as time goes by.
